Case: Experienced director and producer and ex-head of NFTS Stephen Bayly and producer Linda James of Sly Fox Films hired Initialize to give consultancy on their adaptation of the successful novel THE ICARUS GIRL. Initialize was tasked with giving notes on script development, undertaking research, locating talent and sourcing development money.

Result: To date Initialize has helped raise over £ 30,000 towards the development of the project as well as providing detailed story and script analysis. The script consultancy is on-going.

The Experienced Documentary Filmmaker

Case: Documentary filmmaker Peter Woditsch hit something of a brickwall when planning his follow-up feature-length documentary to THE SECRET ROOMS OF CATHERINE THE GREAT. He hired Initialize to help him with his narrative strategy and to provide analysis of other feature-length docs.

Result: Peter got full funding from ARTE.

Case: Award-winning writer-director and screenwriter Pieter De Graeve came to Initialize to get consultancy to help him re-draft his adaptation of a popular Dutch novel Soap!

Result: We provided analysis over 2 days, including story and script analysis, market analysis and possible narrative strategies. Pieter has since been offered several development deals.
