Initialize screenwriting courses have three main aims:

• to provide high level screenplay analysis and coaching to help participants put down their ideas in the form of a screenplay;
• to strengthen participants' scripts in terms of dramatic potential and marketability by adopting individual strategies for each script; and
• to inform participants about the industry including development funds, writing schemes, the spec. script market and market expectations.

Initialize courses differ from most other screenwriting courses in several important ways:

• each writer is given a one-to-one induction talk and feedback session ensuring that we are aware of your aims and can tailor our tuition accordingly;
• courses are limited to small groups thereby increasing the focus on each writer's work;
• the use of separate development strategies for each participants work means that we offer practical informed guidance to each writer, taking into account their writing style and aims, rather than applying over-simplified dogma from a screenwriting manual;
• our tutors combine a high level of academic and industry experience ensuring that participants are given strong story and script analysis and practical help about how to approach the market;
• Initialize offers a follow-up package which means that writers are not simply forgotten when the course finishes.
