Our programmes are split into three categories.

Insider's Guides

Insider's Guides are an ideal way to get an expert's view on a range of subjects including Writing for TV, Financing Documentaries, and Writing for Bollywood. Insider's Guides are lecture-driven, are one or two days in duration, include lunch and refreshments and are available on a registration basis.

Project Development Courses

Project Development Courses have a limited number of participants and offer a mix of personalised feedback, academic and industry informed tuition and market analysis. Courses include Feature Screenplays, Feature Documentaries - Narrative Strategies, Development Strategies and European Development Funds, Marketing Your Script - Bridging the Gap to the Market and Work in Progress for Documentary Filmmakers. Courses are available on a registration basis.

Initialize Labs

These are longer, more intensive project development and training programmes, which have a high level of one-to-one feedback and tuition from a range of experts. Initialize labs have an experience requirement and participants are selected on application. Producer labs include European Co-Productions, Online Marketing and Distribution Strategies, Athena - The business of filmmaking a course for women directors and producers and Interdoc, a three month programme for documentary producers. We also run Athena Screenwriters - The Business of Screenwriting for 8 women screenwriters.
